Counselling
with young people and adults
I have a strong commitment to working with children, young people and adults whose experiences may be overlooked, misunderstood or simplified by others. This includes those with learning disabilities, those who are neurodivergent, those experiencing difference, loss, overwhelm, anxiety, relational pain, or the pressures of parenting or caring.
How Might Therapy Work?
Counselling is about meeting someone truthfully, respectfully and with enough care that they are able to feel more fully themselves. It is not about fixing people or pushing them towards a version of themselves that feels more acceptable to others. I believe that when people feel safe, when they feel heard, they are more able to make sense of themselves, trust their own experience, and find ways forward that are meaningful to them.

Integrative Counselling, There is no 'right' way.
I draw on different therapeutic approaches, but what matters most is finding together a way of working that feels honest and trustworthy, and it is always unique to each person I meet.

My practice offers a calm, welcoming environment but if you prefer to walk or sit in nature, this is something we could choose to do.
